8ch2Owens & Tali Rodriguez are the Art Attack. Knuckle Dragguz Producer/ Emcee/ Engineer Tali Rodriguez provided all the Production and I had an amazing time creating these joints from 2023 til just last month. In that time I launched a New Online Radio Station that is now streaming 24/7 (WVCC Radio), I ended a relationship of 9 years to someone I was sure I was going to marry, had to say goodbye to my 3 Children as they moved back in with their Mother, and left my childhood home of Miami/ Kendall Florida to start the next chapter of my life in Vero Beach FL. It has been an emotionally charged year, full of Peaks and Valleys, which are mostly documented on this new album. Full of banging beats, heavy bar work, and deep looks inside the mind of the “Humble Host” known as 8ch2Owens, along with some great guest appearances by close friends DJ GLIBSTYLEZ, C.GREG, WHICHCRAFT, PRINCE DIVINE, SANKOFA FORT WAYNE, & SEVEN STAR; ART ATTACK is a cathartic tool which helped me through one of the hardest and most confusing periods of my life. It is said that some of the best art grows out of the soil of pain and struggle. I pray that you find the work of Art Tali and I collaborated on as enjoyable and therapeutic as we did while making it. Big Thank You to: Tali Rodriguez, for not only giving birth to all of the beats that moved me to write such great songs, but for all the extra time he spent in post production making sure the final listening experience was enjoyable, and that the story of The Art Attack was properly told. Thank you for always putting up with me Rodrgiuez. Our meeting was not a coincidence. Soon we will break bread, get drunk and laugh our asses off or beat each other to death. Thank you for giving me a place to stay, a place to cry, and place to pray and recover, and a safe place to express myself on the mic, whether it be through braggadocio tough talk, Witty Sarcasm or through unretainable tears, you never judged me and gave me space to express myself. As I listen back to everything I recorded at DUILT BIFFERENT STUDIOS for this album, I must admit this is the most comfortable I have ever sounded on any of my past albums. I owe that to you making me feel welcomed and safe to be real and raw in my state at the time. You and the rest of John Apocalypse have been my family through this time, when most of my family turned their back on me. I will never forget that.
