Airklipz x Micall Parknsun – The Parknership

To celebrate the New Year, me and Micall Parknsun decided to drop “The Parknership (The Micall Parknsun Album)” on New year’s Eve. All ten tracks produced by him and an extended verse too on the track “Honour”, I am honoured to be working with someone I’ve always considered a legend and now consider a very good friend! Making this project, I tried to give everyone a feel for my beginnings like I never really have before and laid out some of the things from earlier life I’ve previously held back. I hope the process of self reflection is as good for you as it was for me! We started work on this about a year ago but I only started writing a couple of months before release, as I tried a new technique for this project, where I devised a plan of how I wanted everything to sound before writing and that meant picking every beat meticulously and listening to it many times to see if it fit the overall structure. After, I wrote and recorded verses, we worked on the tracklist and decided which tracks wouldn’t make it together and then it was over to Jammy Git for mastering. With features from G.O.L.D, Trademark Blud, Swav’O, Eyez Kold and Cuzin Nate, and cover by The Crohnnabist, this is my final release for a while as I take a break from releasing a project every month and focus on videos, shows and promoting all this work!!! I know I have neglected my Bandcamp fans, so I’ll be updating here with all last year releases in the coming weeks. Hope you like it and please share it everywhere if you do!!!
