This record spans songs made more than four years ago and some made recently. It is one of collaboration and a love letter to the craft of music-making in community. I am so grateful for all these people I’ve met that strive to use whatever resources they have to make the best art possible. This Truly encapsulates the proverb this album is based around that being a Congolese proverb that says “Even without drums, the leave still dance”. I pray we all keep dancing despite whatever circumstances we come from.
