Dj Semtex & Genesis Elijah – Novembars Freestyle

Every November Wordplay magazine run a competition called #Novembars. A selection of producers drop some heavyweight beats for rappers, singers and songwriters to lace with bars and post them on the gram This year DJ Semtex provided a track. Genesis Elijah one of the most respected names in UK Rap blessed it, and paid homage to UK rap pioneers such as Ty, Roots Manuva, and Chester P. 

DJ Semtex detailed how the organic collaboration emerged, “I loved the sentiment of what Elijah wrote. So I asked him if he could write more bars while I developed the production further. We’re in the 50th anniversary of Hip Hop and I felt that this is a cool moment for the culture that should be available everywhere”.
