Floco Torres, an independent Hip-Hop musician based in Akron, Ohio, announces his 38th independently released project in a prolific music career. “This Creative Life” has been in the making on and off since 2011, after the release of his first full length album “Floco’s Modern Life.” The new album serves as a semi-autobiographical lens into the life of a creative, and specifically Torres’ life as an artist as well as the many other hats he wears. “I initially wanted this album to be more of a general look into what the day to day is like for an artist, creator, entreprenuer, etc. When I sat down to get on this path to finish the album, the ideas presented to me took me inward, and I chose to follow that instead. I felt uncomfortable a lot making this album, and somewhere along the way I knew that was a good thing, because I’m being as honest and as raw as I can,” says Torres. Exploring themes of, regional and national acclaim, the highs and lows of expectations from your peers and loved ones, navigating working with non-profit organizations and high level institutional thinking, as well as battling depression and anxiety on the road less traveled. “This Creative Life” simmers with intensity in 4 song suites, before reaching it’s boiling point right at the end of the 12 song offering, with 3 bonus tracks tacked on, putting the full run time around 45 minutes. The album is produced entirely by Floco Torres and features the Uno Lady (One woman choir), Rachel Osherow (Vocalist), Goodie Supreme (Hip-Hop artist), and Josy Jones (Actor, Director).
