This time, however, I decided to detach myself from production duties and let another producer handle the beats for the entire project. Staying true to my tradition of structuring all my projects around a trilogy (knowledge, wisdom, and understanding), I partnered with Holy Smokes and a producer from Spain to work on what would become Gen3. We completed a full album and were already working on the second installment when the project came to a halt for reasons I won’t go into. Despite the complications, Smokes and I decided to carry on without the Spanish producer. This led to the birth of Generation 3, a title inspired by the Marvel superhero group Generation X. They say things happen for a reason, and the end of the Gens project sparked a new idea.
