Kirin is a new installment of Marcus D’s highly regarded hip hop instrumental project series. As with many of his other instrumental projects, this one takes inspiration from eastern influences and explores the mythological creature known as the “Kirin”. Legendary Japanese horishi (traditional Japanese irezumi artist) Horinao was called upon to create the cover; a depiction of the Kirin that stems from ancient Japanese tattoo culture.
