Shawn Lov – Lord of the Living Room 2 (EP) [2025]

Shawn Lov returns with a surprise EP on the 25th Anniversary of the release date of what is arguably his worst album “Lord of the Living Room,’ which premiered on MP3.com in February 2000. “Lord” was released shortly after Shawn’s album “Wired!” (1999) which was recorded with basic equipment yet included well-loved songs such as “Turn Back Time.” The album “Lord of the Livingroom” was rushed to impress his wife (of now 20+ years) with a song inspired by their early courtship, “Bad Lady.” The first Lord of the Living Room album was so underproduced and spotty, that other than the single “10 Mack Commandments” which went viral, it was mainly an ignored entry in the Shawn Lov catalogue. Almost no original copies exist. There isn’t a good reason for this EP to exist either. Using the same basic home studio recording mic and equipment for his albums “Wired!” (1999) and the original “Lord of the Living Room” album as well as “Wack Emcees Get Murdered Day” (2000) Shawn has put together a collection of 5 songs in his current-day living room.
