“Relatos de Reina Amalia” es el quinto trabajo de Rap de Zé Fuga, MC barcelonés de origen colombiano residente en la capital catalana desde 2001. En esta ocasión cuenta con instrumentales de Unloged, beatmaker argentino también radicado en la ciudad condal desde hace décadas, y que ha aportado una cohesión sonora al trabajo con su maestría en el manejo de los samples, abarcando desde instrumentales oscuras e introspectivas hasta beats más ligeros y jazzy. El título del trabajo hace alusión a una calle del barrio del Raval y las letras de las canciones son un viaje en verso por la trayectoria de Zé Fuga en Barcelona, por su interpretación de la historia reciente de la ciudad y por su visión desde el rap de una realidad que ha mutado en gran medida en los barrios que ha habitado los últimos 20 años: Poble Sec y el Raval. Cuenta con colaboraciones en rima de Aïda (MC de Queens, Nueva York), Mismo Perro (MC de Bogotá, Colombia) y Autèntic Home Llúdriga (Barcelona), y el turntablista Dj Huex se hizo cargo de los scratches, excepto un tema, a cargo de Dj Jum (Zaragoza). El trabajo ha sido mezclado y masterizado en el estudio Sulam Sound, del barrio de Poble Sec en Barcelona. ___________________________________ “Relatos de Reina Amalia ” is the fifth Rap album by Zé Fuga, a Barcelona MC of Colombian origin who has lived in the Catalan capital since 2001. This time it features instrumentals by Unloged, an Argentine beatmaker also based in Barcelona for decades, and who has brought a sonic cohesion to the work with his mastery in handling samples, ranging from dark and introspective instrumentals to lighter and jazzy beats. The title of the work refers to a street in the Raval neighborhood and the lyrics of the songs are a journey in verse through Zé Fuga’s career in Barcelona, his interpretation of the city’s recent history and his vision from rap of a reality that has mutated greatly in the neighborhoods it has inhabited in the last 20 years: Poble Sec and Raval. It features rhyming collaborations from Aïda (MC from Queens, New York), Mismo Perro (MC from Bogotá, Colombia) and Autèntic Home Llúdriga (Barcelona); turntablist Dj Huex took charge of the scratches, except for one song, by DJ Jum (Zaragoza).
