Saw the Landmark Missed the Turn is a collaboration that Jumbled and I started working on back in 2021. Almost a concept album, it originally began as a project tentatively titled Seven Stories High, which no, was not a reference to altering one’s state of mind, but instead an idea for an EP where every song, all 7, told a different story. Nearly 4 years later, it expanded into a 27 minute journey into stories and the portrayal of attitudes & perspectives not necessarily our own, with the occasional head chopping of wack MCs. Evoking a nostalgic mood with samples, themes & stories from the late 20th century to contemporary times, the tracks are layered with synths, keyboard and punchy bass lines. Though we made it for everyone, it’s a nod to a different time, our generation and those before who knew what life was like before cell phones, the 24 hour news cycle & the demands of constant connection. credits released April 16, 2025 Album produced by Jumbled & Dereos Roads.
