Krohme’s second album, Before the Animals Know You’re Dead, builds on the bleak, end-of-day atmosphere of The Ceremony of Innocence but pushes even further into experimental soundscapes. The album moves seamlessly between hard-hitting boom-bap, industrial grit, doom metal, psychedelic rock, and eerie ambient textures, creating an experience that combines Electric Wizard, Electric Funeral, and Electric Relaxation. With an eclectic lineup featuring Kurupt, Bizzy Bone, Young Buck, Sage Francis, Apathy, Danny Diablo, and dozens more, the album serves as the soundtrack for the end of days.
